Rules & Regulations

  • Vaccinations – By law, your pet must have current rabies and distemper vaccines.
Though we do not require bordetella, we recommend it. For the safety and comfort of your pets, we require a 48 hour wait period after your pet receives vaccinations.

  • Hours – Our hours are 7:30 AM until the last dog leaves, unless otherwise discussed while making your appointment. Once a month there will be an early drop off and late pick up available (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM). Please inquire about this while making your appointment.
  • Cancellations and Missing Appointments – Everyone wants to get in as soon as possible, and we are limited in how many grooming appointments we can make in a day. When someone doesn’t show up for an appointment, not only are they taking that available spot away from others, but also costing us money. If you need to cancel your appointment, it must be by 8:00 AM the morning of your appointment, so we attempt to fill the spot. If you fail to show up for your appointment without notifying us, there will be a $15 charge. For every 15 minutes you are late, you will be charged $5, and you will be put at the back of the lineup. If you are more than 30 minutes late, it is considered a missed appointment, and we will not be able to honor your appointment at that time.
  • Fleas – Fleas can be a problem for all pet owners, and sometimes it does happen. If you know that your dog has fleas, let us know when you arrive, and we will do a flea bath at regular flea bath price. If you fail to inform us, it will be an additional $20.
  • Aggressive animals – For every additional person that has to help with your animal, there is a minimum $10 charge. (Subject to change according to each individual animal.)
  • Injuries – Injuries have to be reported within 48 hours for us to be liable for them.

Matt Release

We are not liable for any cuts, nicks, clipper burns, etc. that may occur during this grooming.

We are not responsible for your pets’ condition, and there is a good chance your pet could get injured while we are carefully trying to remove the matts, as this is a difficult process.

Moles, Warts, Skin Tags

You are aware that your dog has a lot of these on their body, which does make our job a lot harder. We try our best not to catch any of these on your dog, but again, we do not know or remember exactly where all of your dog’s skin growths are. We are not liable if we catch one of them.

Elderly Pets & Medical Conditions

At Hawk-Dog Grooming, we truly try to take our time with older dogs and dogs that have any medical problems. However, we are not responsible if your dog is sore or has a medical reaction while they are with us.
